Engaging our students with Nearpod!

Hi teachers! Nice to meet you again here. As English teachers, we know that engaging our students in the learning process is the key to their success. But we know that finding ways to make learning fun and interactive can be challenging, so today I'm going to introduce Nearpod, which can help us engage our students easier.

Nearpod is an interactive learning platform that allows teachers to create and deliver engaging lessons to students. With its library of pre-made lessons, customizable features, and interactive presentation tools, Nearpod is a powerful tool for us as English language teachers looking to enhance our students' learning experience.

Let's take a look at an example of a lesson that I made on Nearpod. As you can see this is an example for an IELTS listening class which introduces some listening strategies. What I did is simply upload the PowerPoint slide onto this platform. Of course you can add more interesting contain in you own lessons. To start the lesson, just click then share the lesson code to your students to let them join the class.

This is just a simple example, of course you can add more and do more to make your lesson more alive. Here's a useful link which can solve any problem you have about Nearpod (such as teaching with Nearpod, creating a Lesson or Video or managing your admin dashboard):

But also keep in mind its limitations, for example, Nearpod offers a free version (which I am using), the most advanced features are only available with a paid subscription. Nearpod is also platform-specific that designed to work with specific devices, such as tablets, laptops, and smartphones and also like any other online teaching tools, Nearpod requires a stable internet connection to work effectively.

Collaborate and interact with our students through Twiddla!

Hello teachers, today I would like to share a really interesting and useful online tool which provide us a platform to collaborate and interact with our students, it is the Twiddla!  Firstly, let me introduce Twiddla briefly with some screenshot I just made on Twiddla. As you can see in the pictures. Twiddla is a web-based collaboration tool that allows multiple users to draw, write, and interact on a shared virtual whiteboard.  From https://www.twiddla.com/ From https://www.twiddla.com/ But please don't think it's just a site that provides blank canvases, it can do way more things. As you can see in the below picture, there are many tools we can use up top such as insert text boxes and images, or do some shapes and drawing on the whiteboard.
