Exploring Memrise: A valuable tool for EFL learners
Hi teachers! Today I will continue to share an engaging and effective way that I have found to teach English to our students. And that tool is called: Memrise. It's an online language learning platform that offers courses in a wide range of languages, and we as language teachers can also made our own courses on this platform.

As an English teacher, I have found Memrise to be a valuable tool for teaching English to my students. Memrise uses a variety of techniques to help users learn new vocabulary and grammar, such as flashcards, audio recordings, and gamified quizzes. This platform is user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy for learners to start learning right away. After selecting the language they are speaking, learners are free to choose any language courses they want to learn from the platform (see pictures below).

As language teachers, we can also create our own content on Memrise, and here you can see I am creating a grammar lesson to my students. I am going to include flashcards and quizzes in this lesson to reinforce their learning. And students can practice at their own pace and track their progress over time.

Another interesting feature of Memrise that I like is that it is a gamified platform, which means that it uses game-like features to make learning more engaging and fun. I believe that this can be particularly useful for younger learners or those who find traditional language learning methods to be boring or uninteresting.
While Memrise also have it's limitations, for example, it is great for learning vocabulary and grammar, but it seems like that's all it can do, it may not be as effective for developing more complex language skills, such as speaking and writing. And of course, like all the other tools I shared in my other posts, users need to pay for membership fees to unlock all Memrise features. So just consider whether you really need to pay for the subscribing fee to unlock those features or just use the free version of it.
